In toeing, pigeon toed, or genu valgum
Intoeing (pigeon toes, knock knee) is a condition in which the feet point inward when walking, outtoeing (duck walking) is just the opposite. It is commonly seen in children as bones grow and as stability increases these manifestations may resolve in very early childhood with no treatment or intervention. The child should be examined by a foot and ankle surgeon as the intoeing/outtoeing can cause significant problems such as tripping, difficulty with normal activity, pain, difficulty with shoes, or is not resolved in early childhood. There may be structural problems with the bones or soft tissues causing intoeing/outtoeing which may need further treatment by your foot and ankle doctor.
